NIRVANA: Space Settlement Design's brief description

NASA Ames space settlement contest is a global contest held in 18+ countries, sponsored by NASA & NATIONAL SPACE SOCIETY.
This project is based on orbital space settlement and named as NIRVANA: Space Settlement Design. NIRVANA is a French translation of word heaven/paradise. This project is a first prize winner in the category ‘7th grade and younger’ and also the only project from Bihar to bag a prize at NASA Ames space settlement contest. This project is authored by Rishabh (st. Karen secondary school, khagaul road), Patna, Bihar, India. Project consists of about 100 pages defined separately in 21 sections. Project starts with a Participation profile, acknowledgement and Table of contents (5pgs.). Now projects come to introduction, this section introduce the problem that world population is increasing with a much faster rate and earth is clogged with humans so, what’s the solution it’s settling humans in space. A beautiful question that appeared in my mind while starting that what’s the most complicated thing in the world?? Is it a cell or a bacteria but it’s an idea. So, going to the next level of project I have to choose a location for the settlement, so I started thinking which can be a perfect orbit for location? The answer was geostationary orbit of earth and geosynchronous orbit of mars. When I founded answer of this question it’s time to know that what are the basic requirements of human i.e. daily consumptions / air consumption etc. so, this section was named as ‘requirements’. So, the next difficulty was to find out what are the advantages & disadvantages of orbital space settlement. Finding this I created a section names ‘advantages & disadvantages’. Then I discovered that space has also many resources to be process and used and asteroids are plenty full of these of resources but beside them planets and moons have also these resources so, authored a section named ‘space mining program’ and this section helped me in bagging 1st prize. View of mining equipment: DHRUV.
NOW, the most important part of the project which covers 35% project was Introduction to NIRVANA which was full of self-generated graphics.

Next two sections was a problem based section. Both the problems can kill people living in the space settlement if not solved. 1st problem was to deal with space debris (peace of junk travelling in space), the solution was a mechanism which can successfully trap space debris and recycle it.
2nd problem was the VAN ALLEN RADIATION BELT which increases radiation when in the geostationary orbit of earth; solution was HiVOLT System or High Voltage Orbiting Long Tether. Next stage was to design an infrastructure and to plan operations. NIRVANA will have various operations like transportation, communication, etc. Next is upgrading technology of NIRVANA which was concluded in the ‘technology’ section. An important part of project was the life support system, which life saving and life making part of the project. But, beside these human lives are not for sacrificing it’s for enjoying. To ensure this in NIRVANA, all human factors are mentioned. So, what’s the schedule of orbital space settlement? This ‘schedule’ section is further divided into 4 parts i.e. phase 1,2,3,4. Okay all fine so, how much do the project costs?? Want to know believe it or not its -$681,283,698,000,000,000,000,000,000
At last I included a conclusion to my project and a bibliography to help NASA scientists know the source of inspiration for me.
Thanking:-
